Counting rule
This tool counts dates after the start date through and including the end date. Saturday and Sunday are excluded. Any valid holiday date you enter is also excluded when it falls on a Monday through Friday.
Why holidays are user-entered
There is no single universal business-day calendar. Government, banking, exchange, school, employer, and international calendars can use different holidays. Requiring explicit holiday dates keeps the calculation transparent.
Limitations
This calculator does not determine statutory, contractual, court, tax, banking, or other legal deadlines. It does not fetch an official holiday calendar. Enter the holidays that apply to your own context and verify consequential deadlines independently.

Common questions
Is the start date counted?
No. The interval begins after the start date. The end date is counted when it is an eligible weekday and not one of the supplied holidays.
What happens to an invalid holiday entry?
Invalid tokens are ignored and the status message reports that some holiday entries could not be used.
